DIVERGENT SCULPTURES
The three sculptures presented here come from a mathematical series which consists of a simple arithmetic procedure:
adding the same number over and over again.
The visual representation of the sums of numbers result on triangular forms.
In my attempt to visually represent this concept I have used metal strips, which are placed in the space
in a way where the actual sum of numbers is represented in the negative space between the metal strips.
This particular mathematical series is divergent, meaning that it is actually infinite, thus the sculptures in this case have the actual gallery space as its limits.
